We're members of the Ontario Airheads Beemer Club. A group of owners of BMW motorcycles with air-cooled twin-cylinder engines. There are a few dozen of us in Ontario who own and ride "airheads". We're mostly in southern Ontario, but we're open to anyone from anywhere with a like interest. In fact, although we seek to share knowledge, resources and experiences centred around our beloved German bikes, we'd even welcome you to one of our gatherings if you arrived on some other inferior make of motorcycle. (in fact we've got Royal Enfields, Buels and Yamahas hiding in our closets.) Heck, you can hang out with us if you just like them a lot or only want to be a passenger.

Riding season is here and the Airheadz list seems busier than it's been in a while. Many of us made it down to Milford to enjoy the open house at Bench Mark Works Canada on May 13th. While there we learned of an effort to create a new "virtual" group; The BMW Vintage Motorcycle Club of Canada, or the BMWVMCC. Kind of rolls of the tongue all silky-like doesn't it? They'll eventually have a web site but that URL isn't active yet.

We support and are an official sponsor of the late Simon Milward's Millenium Ride. Read a little more about it and our challenge to other motorcyclists!
Sadly, Simon was killed in a road accident on March 4th 2005 near the city of Kayes, Mali, West Africa. His contribution to motorcycling and humanitarianism will be sorely missed.
