I'm part of a team of 5 technicians supporting around 1,200 people. They work on Mac, PC, Blackberry and iPhone/iPad equipment in the production of print, web, radio, audio and video. I provide training & tutoring, troubleshooting, repair, configuration, specification, installation of all manner of software and hardware. I've shepherded thousands of new pieces of equipment in and old out. I interpret the company's IT policy and present it to the user community in a way that they understand and doesn't intimidate them.

KPMG Peat Marwick Thorne, Toronto Office, Sept 1992 - July 1996

I was employed by the Toronto office of KPMG Peat Marwick Thorne as one of a team of 8 technicians providing software and hardware support to a user base of about 1000 people. Office productivity software support, remote access server administration, desktop hardware support & upgrades, network fax server administration and other duties. I was there during the birth of the internet I remember NCSA Mosaic.

Both artistic and technical, work in photography develops problem solving skills in everything from lighting to dealing with clients. In retrospect, these years just seem like technical support too.
